Q: How to install the dust cover for bottom brackets with a 30mm spindle like BSA30?
A: For Dust Cover Installation , Press the dust cover into the bottom bracke with the raised side facing inward and the flat side facing outward. ( if installed in reverse, the crank will not turn properly. )

Q: What should I do if the bottom bracket is too tight to install?
A: First, It must be relatively tight, because if it is too loose, it will affect the force exerted during riding. ① Apply thick lubricating grease to the threads and two end faces of the central shaft, which makes the bearings smoother during cycling and also serves as a sealing ring. ② Please use a rubber hammer to slowly knock the bearing in. ③ Be sure to pay attention to the angle at which the central axis is inserted. It must be very parallel, and do not insert it at an angle. and The center axis of 30mm Shaft installation requires certain technical skills.Have a try firstly my friend.(^ ^)
Q: How to use a 24mm to 22mm reduction sleeve? (For GXP cranksets, etc.)
A: Install reduction sleeve from the inside of the bottom bracket .(as shown in the figure)
Q: Why does my bottom bracket feel rough when I turn it by hand?A: 1. Important: Test After Installation
The true test for bearing smoothness happens after it's installed on your bike. Judging by hand-turning the bearing before installation isn't accurate, as resistance felt then doesn't reflect real-world performance. This is because manual installation and slight tolerances in the plastic sleeves can cause variation in how tight the bearings feel initially. This initial feel has no impact on performance, as the forces when pedaling are far greater than what your hands can apply.
2. Smoother With Use
Many riders report that the bottom bracket feels even smoother after a break-in period of about 150-200 km. This is a key characteristic of our ceramic bearings—they often improve and become smoother the more you ride.
3. Helpful Installation Tip
For best results, please apply a thin layer of grease to the contact surfaces of both the bearings and the crank spindle. This not only eases installation but also helps create a better seal against water and dirt, which extends the product's service life.
Q: Why won't my bottom bracket turn by hand?
A: Regarding the side that feels stiff: This is typically not a defect. Often, bottom brackets with better waterproof seals will feel tighter initially.
Here's what you can do: Try holding the dust cover firmly and applying steady pressure to turn it clockwise or counter-clockwise. After you push past that initial point of resistance, it should begin to rotate more freely. We're confident that once installed, you'll have a great riding experience. If you have any further questions after installation, please don't hesitate to reach out.
